Post-Travel Review

Fever, diarrhoea or a rash after a trip deserves a proper look, especially within a year of visiting a malaria area. We assess your symptoms against where you have been and refer you on quickly when a test is needed. This is not an emergency service: for severe symptoms go to A&E.

Malaria Prevention

There is no travel vaccine for malaria, so protection means the right antimalarial tablets for your destination and season plus serious bite avoidance. We check your medical history and other medicines, then prescribe and explain exactly when to start and stop.

Altitude Sickness

Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, the Inca Trail or Ladakh: we map your ascent profile against your health, explain how to acclimatise and what the danger signs look like, and can supply prescription altitude-sickness medication where appropriate, after consultation.

Vitamin B12 Injection

For people with a diagnosed deficiency or a genuine reason to be low, such as a vegan diet or pernicious anaemia. We look at your symptoms and any blood results first, give the injection into the muscle, and agree a sensible follow-up rather than injecting on request.

Travel Vaccines in Pregnancy

Live vaccines such as yellow fever are generally avoided in pregnancy and only considered after an individual risk assessment; other vaccines are weighed dose by dose against the risks of the trip itself. We also talk through malaria tablets, DEET and whether the journey can wait.

Food and water advice for where you are going, plus a kit to pack: Dioralyte for rehydration, Imodium for the hours you cannot be near a toilet, and clear safety-netting on when to stop self-treating and see a doctor. Higher-risk trips are assessed for a standby antibiotic.

Travel Sickness Remedies

Ferries, coach roads through the Alps, small boats out to the islands: we match the remedy to the journey, the traveller's age and whatever else they take. Stugeron and Kwells tablets, Kwells Kids for children, and Sea-Band wristbands for anyone who would rather avoid medicine altogether.

DVT Prevention & Flight Socks

For flights and journeys over four hours we explain what genuinely lowers clot risk: moving about regularly, ankle exercises, water rather than alcohol. Travellers at higher risk get properly fitted below-knee graduated compression socks and an individual assessment, with referral where needed.
