Travel clinic in Sale
Travel Vaccinations for Sale Travellers
Sale sits only a couple of miles north of our clinic, and for many people in M33 we're the closest place to get a full course of travel vaccines under one roof. Altrincham Travel Clinic is a GPhC-registered, pharmacist-led clinic at 250 Stockport Road in Timperley village — straight down Brooklands Road from the Sale side, or two Metrolink stops via Brooklands on the Altrincham line. Whether you're a family in Sale Moor sorting holiday jabs, a commuter who takes the tram into Manchester every day, or you've left the vaccine list a little late before a big trip, we can usually see you the same day, seven days a week, with evenings until 9pm Monday to Saturday. We're also a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre: the vaccine is £75 including the official ICVP certificate, issued on the day. Every appointment comes with written advice tailored to your destination, there's free parking right outside the door, and walk-ins are always welcome.

Every trip is unique, so is your health plan. We discuss your exact destinations, trip length, planned activities, diet and any pre-existing conditions, so we recommend only the vaccines and medicines you truly need.

Malaria Prevention & Advice
We recommend and supply the most suitable antimalarial tablets for your destination, and advise on bite avoidance with repellents, nets and protective clothing.

We issue your International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) for Yellow Fever on the day of your appointment — bring your passport.

Getting to Our Clinic from Sale
By car from Sale
The most direct run is Brooklands Road: pick it up near the Brooklands Metrolink stop and follow it straight over into Timperley, where it meets Stockport Road close to the clinic at 250 Stockport Road, WA15 7UN. From the Washway Road side of Sale you can instead take the A56 south towards Altrincham and cut across to Timperley. Either way it's about two to three miles — roughly ten minutes, traffic depending — with free parking on site when you arrive.
By Metrolink or bus
Hop on the tram at Sale or Brooklands and you're at Timperley in just a couple of stops on the Altrincham line, and the clinic is an easy walk from the Timperley Metrolink stop. Trams run frequently through the day, so it works even for a quick lunchtime visit.Local buses run along the A56 corridor between Sale and Altrincham Interchange, from where Timperley is two Metrolink stops up the line.
Fit it around the commute or an airport trip
If you tram into Manchester from Sale each day, the geography works nicely: step off at Timperley on the way home, have your vaccines, and be back on the platform before dinner — we're open until 9pm Monday to Saturday, so there's usually no need to book time off work. Flying from Manchester Airport? Timperley is roughly on your way south towards the M56, so some travellers collect last-minute antimalarial tablets or a final dose en route.
Why Sale travellers make the short trip
Central Manchester clinics usually mean paying to park and competing for daytime-only slots. A few minutes down the road you get a pharmacist-led, GPhC-registered clinic with the full private travel-vaccine range, antimalarial tablets and clear written destination advice, plus back-to-back family appointments so everyone is seen in one visit. As a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre we give the vaccine (£75) and issue the official ICVP certificate on the day — just remember to bring your passport. And the parking outside is free.

What Our Patients Say
from 60+ Google reviews
“I could not recommend the clinic enough. Seen for a consultation the same day whereas over a week's wait to attend Boots. No fee for a consultation. Thorough discussion over vaccines required and an action plan was put in place. Prices are competitive. Will never go anywhere else.”

“Very helpful and friendly pharmacist was able to advise and prescribe suitable antimalarials for a forthcoming trip. Being able to get an appointment at short notice and on a Sunday was really useful for us. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly and professional. Many thanks for a great service today!”

“I was panicking that I wouldn't get my jabs done on time for my holiday to Vietnam, but the Travel Centre fitted me in quickly. The service was thorough and efficient, and the aftercare information is also really useful. Most impressed!”
