Travel clinic in Hale
Travel Vaccinations for Hale Travellers
Hale and Timperley share the WA15 postcode district, so when someone in Hale searches for a travel clinic nearby, ours is usually the honest answer: Altrincham Travel Clinic sits at 250 Stockport Road, Timperley, roughly two miles from Hale village. Plenty of Hale households are frequent travellers — long-haul family holidays, gap years, honeymoons and business flights from Manchester Airport just along the M56 — and the clinic is built around that kind of diary. We're GPhC-registered and pharmacist-led, the pharmacist-led team keeps the whole private travel-vaccine list in stock, plus antimalarials, and as a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre we issue the official ICVP certificate on the day of your jab (bring your passport). You leave each visit with destination-specific advice in writing. With opening from 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm on Sunday, walk-ins, same-day slots, back-to-back family bookings and free parking outside the door, getting travel-ready from Hale takes one short, simple trip.

Every trip is unique, so is your health plan. We discuss your exact destinations, trip length, planned activities, diet and any pre-existing conditions, so we recommend only the vaccines and medicines you truly need.

Malaria Prevention & Advice
We recommend and supply the most suitable antimalarial tablets for your destination, and advise on bite avoidance with repellents, nets and protective clothing.

Easy to reach
Getting to Our Clinic from Hale
Driving from Hale village or Hale Barns
From Hale village the drive is roughly five to ten minutes, traffic depending. Leave the village centre along Ashley Road, turn onto Grove Lane and follow it into Park Road, then join the A560 Stockport Road towards Timperley — we're at number 250 with free parking directly outside. Coming from Hale Barns, the A538 towards Altrincham and then the A560 works just as well. Either way, you avoid town-centre car parks entirely.
By train, tram or bus
Hale has its own station on the Mid-Cheshire line, a single stop from Altrincham, where the interchange connects you to the Metrolink Altrincham line — Timperley stop is a short walk from the clinic. Local buses also run along the A560 Stockport Road corridor between Altrincham and Timperley, stopping close to our door. That said, with only a couple of miles between us, many Hale patients find a quick taxi the easiest option of all.
Flying from Manchester Airport?
For many Hale and Hale Barns residents, holidays begin just along the M56 at Manchester Airport — which makes vaccine planning dangerously easy to postpone. Ideally, come and see us a few weeks before departure so every vaccine has time to take effect. But if the calendar has run away with you, our same-day appointments and walk-in service mean we can still see you quickly and advise honestly on what remains worthwhile at short notice.
Why Hale travellers make the short trip
Two miles buys a lot here. Free parking instead of meters, opening until 9pm Monday to Saturday plus Sunday hours until 6pm, walk-ins alongside booked slots, and back-to-back family appointments so nobody needs two visits. As a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre we complete your vaccinations and hand over the official ICVP certificate in the same visit, together with written advice for your destination — everything wrapped up in one appointment, minutes from Hale.

What Our Patients Say
from 60+ Google reviews
“I could not recommend the clinic enough. Seen for a consultation the same day whereas over a week's wait to attend Boots. No fee for a consultation. Thorough discussion over vaccines required and an action plan was put in place. Prices are competitive. Will never go anywhere else.”

“Very helpful and friendly pharmacist was able to advise and prescribe suitable antimalarials for a forthcoming trip. Being able to get an appointment at short notice and on a Sunday was really useful for us. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly and professional. Many thanks for a great service today!”

“I was panicking that I wouldn't get my jabs done on time for my holiday to Vietnam, but the Travel Centre fitted me in quickly. The service was thorough and efficient, and the aftercare information is also really useful. Most impressed!”
