Travel clinic near Wilmslow
Travel Vaccinations for Wilmslow Travellers
Wilmslow is one of the best-connected towns in Cheshire — a few minutes from Manchester Airport, on the main rail line to London, and home to plenty of people who travel often and travel far. What SK9 doesn't have on its doorstep is a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre with genuinely flexible hours, and that's where we come in. That's where we come in: you'll find our pharmacist-led, GPhC-registered clinic on Stockport Road in Timperley (number 250), roughly 8 to 9 miles north-west of Wilmslow; most drivers do it in 15 to 20 minutes along the A538 past the airport, traffic depending. We hold the full private travel-vaccine range plus antimalarial tablets, issue the yellow fever ICVP certificate on the day of your appointment, and stay open until 9pm Monday to Saturday and 6pm on Sundays. Add free parking right outside, walk-ins and back-to-back family bookings, and getting travel-ready before a long-haul trip becomes one short, familiar drive rather than a project.

Every trip is unique, so is your health plan. We discuss your exact destinations, trip length, planned activities, diet and any pre-existing conditions, so we recommend only the vaccines and medicines you truly need.

Malaria Prevention & Advice
We recommend and supply the most suitable antimalarial tablets for your destination, and advise on bite avoidance with repellents, nets and protective clothing.

We issue your International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) for Yellow Fever on the day of your appointment — bring your passport.

Getting to Our Clinic from Wilmslow
Driving from Wilmslow
The simplest route is the A538: head out of Wilmslow on Altrincham Road, skirt the southern edge of Manchester Airport, and carry on through Hale Barns and Hale towards Altrincham, picking up Stockport Road in Timperley (WA15 7UN). It's roughly 8 to 9 miles and usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, traffic depending — airport-bound traffic is the main variable. There's free on-site parking when you arrive, so no meters, permits or circling side streets.
By train, tram or bus
Wilmslow's excellent station is on the main line into Manchester Piccadilly rather than the Metrolink, so the rail option means going into Piccadilly and coming back out on an Altrincham-line tram to Timperley stop, a short walk from the clinic — allow around an hour door to door. The D&G 88 bus runs roughly hourly Monday to Saturday from Wilmslow through Hale towards Altrincham. Honest answer: most SK9 patients find the car far quicker.
Handy if you're flying from Manchester Airport
Plenty of Wilmslow trips start at Terminals 1, 2 or 3, and the A538 you'd take to the airport is the same road that brings you to us — so the run over is a route most SK9 drivers already know well. If departure has crept up on you, our same-day appointments and walk-in service mean even a genuinely last-minute course or ICVP certificate can often be sorted in a single visit before you fly.
Why Wilmslow travellers make the trip
Because everything gets done in one go. We're a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre — yellow fever costs £75 with the official ICVP certificate signed and handed over before you leave (bring your passport) — alongside every private travel vaccine plus antimalarials, with your advice put in writing for your exact destination. Late evenings until 9pm, Sunday opening until 6pm and back-to-back family slots suit Wilmslow's commuters and busy households, and the whole visit costs nothing extra in parking.

What Our Patients Say
from 60+ Google reviews
“I could not recommend the clinic enough. Seen for a consultation the same day whereas over a week's wait to attend Boots. No fee for a consultation. Thorough discussion over vaccines required and an action plan was put in place. Prices are competitive. Will never go anywhere else.”

“Very helpful and friendly pharmacist was able to advise and prescribe suitable antimalarials for a forthcoming trip. Being able to get an appointment at short notice and on a Sunday was really useful for us. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly and professional. Many thanks for a great service today!”

“I was panicking that I wouldn't get my jabs done on time for my holiday to Vietnam, but the Travel Centre fitted me in quickly. The service was thorough and efficient, and the aftercare information is also really useful. Most impressed!”
