Travel clinic in Lymm
Travel Vaccinations for Lymm Travellers
Lymm might not have a travel clinic of its own, but you don't need to trek into Manchester or Warrington to get your vaccinations done properly. Altrincham Travel Clinic is a GPhC-registered, pharmacist-led pharmacy and travel-health clinic at 250 Stockport Road in Timperley — roughly 7 to 8 miles east of Lymm Cross along the A56, or a quick run round the M56 from junction 9. We're a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre, our shelves hold every private travel vaccine you're likely to need, with antimalarial tablets to match, and every traveller leaves with written advice for their destination. With doors open into the evening — 9pm Monday to Saturday — and through Sunday until 6pm, plus free parking right outside, the clinic fits the way Lymm actually lives: commuters who can only manage evenings, families juggling school pick-ups in the village, and holidaymakers who booked late and need same-day jabs before flying out via the M56. Walk-ins are welcome too, so a spare hour is often all it takes.

What we offer
Core Services
Comprehensive Consultations
Every trip is unique, so is your health plan. We discuss your exact destinations, trip length, planned activities, diet and any pre-existing conditions, so we recommend only the vaccines and medicines you truly need.
Full Vaccine Suite
From routine protection (Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B) to region-specific jabs (Typhoid, Japanese Encephalitis, Cholera) and specialist immunisations (Rabies, Yellow Fever at our registered centre).
Malaria Prevention & Advice
We recommend and supply the most suitable antimalarial tablets for your destination, and advise on bite avoidance with repellents, nets and protective clothing.
Same-Day Certification
We issue your International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) for Yellow Fever on the day of your appointment — bring your passport.
Reminders & Follow-Up
All vaccinations and booster dates are logged in our secure system, and we send reminders so you never miss a critical second or third dose.

Easy to reach
Getting to Our Clinic from Lymm
Driving from Lymm (roughly 20 minutes)
The A56 links Lymm with us almost door to door: follow it east towards Broadheath and Altrincham, then join Stockport Road (the A560) into Timperley — we're at number 250, WA15 7UN. Prefer the motorway? Join the M56 at junction 9, beside Lymm's own M6 J20 interchange, head east and come off for the A56. Allow roughly 20 minutes, traffic depending, and park for free right outside when you arrive.
By bus and Metrolink
If the car's staying at home, bus service 5 (and the 279) connect Lymm with Altrincham Interchange, the terminus of the Metrolink Altrincham line. From the Interchange, hop on a tram towards Manchester and alight at Timperley — the clinic sits close to the Timperley Metrolink stop — or take a short taxi ride for the final leg. It takes longer than driving, but it's a perfectly workable route without a car.
Fold it into the airport run or the commute
Lymm sits right on the M56, and so does the road to Manchester Airport — which means a pre-holiday vaccination can share a journey you're making anyway. Timperley is only a short detour off that eastbound corridor, so some travellers pair their appointment with airport errands, a big shop in Altrincham, or the drive home from work in south Manchester. Open until 9pm Monday to Saturday, an after-work visit is genuinely realistic.
Why Lymm travellers make the journey
Lymm doesn't have a clinic like this on the doorstep, and we'd rather earn the 20-minute drive than pretend otherwise. What you get at the other end: a pharmacist-led, GPhC-registered clinic with the full private vaccine range, antimalarial tablets, written destination advice, and registered Yellow Fever status — £75 including the ICVP certificate issued on the day. Add back-to-back family slots, walk-ins, Sunday opening and free parking, and one trip covers everything.

What Our Patients Say
from 60+ Google reviews
“I could not recommend the clinic enough. Seen for a consultation the same day whereas over a week's wait to attend Boots. No fee for a consultation. Thorough discussion over vaccines required and an action plan was put in place. Prices are competitive. Will never go anywhere else.”

“Very helpful and friendly pharmacist was able to advise and prescribe suitable antimalarials for a forthcoming trip. Being able to get an appointment at short notice and on a Sunday was really useful for us. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly and professional. Many thanks for a great service today!”

“I was panicking that I wouldn't get my jabs done on time for my holiday to Vietnam, but the Travel Centre fitted me in quickly. The service was thorough and efficient, and the aftercare information is also really useful. Most impressed!”
