Cholera
Reported 17 February 2026Spread through contaminated food and water
As of 10 February 2026, a total of 870 new confirmed cholera cases and 22 deaths have been reported across four provinces in Mozambique since 4 February 2026. This is a 95% average increase in the number of new cases in the last four weeks.

Mpox
Reported 29 August 2025Spread by close or bodily-fluid contact
As of 24 August 2025, a total of 65 mpox cases, with no deaths, have been confirmed in 2025. Mpox clades Ib and II (a and/or b) has been reported.
