Mpox
Reported 23 April 2026Spread by close or bodily-fluid contact
As of 14 April 2026, 122 suspected mpox cases (25 confirmed) have been reported in Sindh Province. Cases have been reported from Khairpur district, Sukkur and Karachi. Nine deaths have been recorded and newborn babies have been amongst those affected. No further information regarding the clade is available at present.

WPV1
Reported 12 January 2026Spread through contaminated food and water
Wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) continues to be reported in Pakistan with 30 human cases recorded during 2025. As of 7 January 2026, 36 WPV1-positive environmental samples were reported from specimens collected in November and December 2025 across the country.

Chikungunya

As of September 2025, over 1,000 suspected cases of chikungunya have been reported in Pakistan during 2025. An increase in case numbers was noted between 4 May and 21 June 2025.
